Archaeological Finds Proving the BIBLE Most MYSTERIOUS Artifacts EVER 2 days ago   08:48

All Things Human
From the possible discovery of the brother of jesus, to a discovery proving the existence of a once lost race here are 6 Archaeological Finds that Prove the Bible is True

6. Crucified Burial

Crucifixion is the type of execution used to end the life of Jesus Christ. Typically, large nails were hammered through the hands and feet of the offender to affix them to a wooden cross. According to the Bible, Jesus had amassed a group of followers and openly declared himself the son of God. This ran afoul the beliefs of the monarchy at the time who sentenced him to death. The crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ is a point of contention among believers and skeptics. One of the biggest arguments against the storied death of Jesus is that crucifixion was only reserved for the foulest repeat criminals, typically those who engaged in violent crimes or showed no signs of being saved. These men would have been denied a proper burial. It is said that after Jesus’s death, he was placed in a tomb from which he was resurrected before returning to Heaven. If history was to be believed, he would have never even been placed in a tomb because crucified men were not permitted honorable burials.

5. The Pool of Siloam
In the Book of John, many miracles performed by Jesus are described. In chapter nine, Jesus meets a blind man, who he heals by spitting into the dirt and using the mud to cover his eyes. He then tells the man to go to the Pool of Siloam and rinse the mud off then go home. The man does so and his vision is restored fully. For centuries, non-believers and believers alike were puzzled by there being no known location where the Pool of Siloam could have once been.
4. James, Brother of Jesus
For five years, a forgery trial rocked the archaeological community. In 2002, archaeologists uncovered a burial box, also known as an ossuary, that bore the inscription, “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus”. An uproar raced across the Christian community. Had they discovered the bones of Jesus Christ’s martyred brother? The answer is a bit unsatisfying: they do not know. The authenticity of the inscription has been called into question several times, culminating in a forgery trial in which the dealer who had possession of the box was found not guilty of forgery.

3. A Merciful King

The books of Ezra and 2 Corinthians speak of Cyrus the Great of Persia conquering Babylon in a massive military movement then allowing the exiled Jews to regain entry into Israel in a sudden act of kindness that was completely out of character for a ruler at the time. Many claim that the Old Testament story was nothing more than a work of fiction, as no proof of Cyrus’s odd change of heart existed in any story or piece of literature aside from the Bible itself.

2. The First Apocalypse of James

Jesus’s siblings are not mentioned very often in the Bible. He had a handful of brothers and several sisters; the one we know the most about is James. Historians debate whether James and the other siblings were truly Jesus’s direct relatives or if they were cousins; either way, when a text surrounding the life of James turned up in a pile of donkey sale receipts and scrap papers, many heads were turned. The paper was dubbed as heretical by the Church due to it describing James’s struggles in casting off the temptations of the secular world. Demon like creatures called Archons plagued him, causing him to doubt the teachings of Christ and have to fight to not give in to the worldly desires around him.

Abraham called Lot his "brother" although he was his nephew.

Jews of that era referred to each other as "brother" or "sister" collectively.

If the Blessed Mother had multiple children, Christ would not have made a point at the cross to give her to John (who we know was a brother to John and they were sons of Zebedee).

By Jewish law, the second son, would have been responsible for Mary's care and welfare.

Christ gives Mary and John to one although and that familiar bond continues to operate in His Church today.

Christ's Mother intercedes for His Church just as she did at the wedding at Cana.

Thanks brother good information now no excuses for the ones do not want to believe
Jesus was a middle child but the Christians hid the documents about them and didn't want it in the Bible. So it would look like Marie was a vergin when in fact Jesus wasn't her first born.

Great it is one positive point for the believers who are convert.

The Bible is not an historical book, just a compilation of old manuscripts that nobody knows who wrote then, specially in the old testament. Is full with mistakes, errs and contradictions that is hard to believe is "the word of God".

After years of study I have found that not believing in Christ would exhaust me! I don't have the energy to be an atheist! Jesus Christ is the only son of the only God. Who came not in the world to condemn the world but that through him the world would be saved! John 3:17 !

John 4 verse 24 - God is Spirit and those who truly worship God will do it in SPIRIT and in truth --- 2 Corinthians 4 verse 18 - So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

To the Blind and Deaf....I'm so glad someone in the comments section mentioned Ron Wyatt, archeologist. He found chariot wheels, horse bones, human bone fragments, etc., covered in coral reef at the area of the Red Sea crossing. It's all STILL THERE. He found Noah's Ark on the mountains of Ararat (There's is an information center that was erected for tourists to view it.) He found the remains of Sodom and Gomorrah and sooo much more. The Bible says the rocks themselves will cry out the truth when we deny the truth. They ARE...from the Dead Sea Scrolls to the Coral Reef in the Red Sea. The Bible also says mankind will see the truth yet be willingly ignorant of it (that means...dumb on purpose...just in case you don't want to look that up either.) Seek and you will find. Look up Ron Wyatt Archeologist. Then take your blinders off and read. Study to show yourself approved. Christians invented science. Christians started the first college. Go back to your roots. He who has an ear, let him hear!

8. The Piri Reis Map
The Piri Reis map is considered the first map of the world. Created in 1513, it was drawn by Ottoman admiral and cartographer Hagii Ahmed Muhiddin Pira, aka Piri Reis, who compiled military intelligence and created a detailed map. Only one third of the original map remains, drawn on gazelle-skin parchment. It shows the Atlantic Ocean, with detailed depictions of the west coast of Europe and North Africa, Atlantic islands like the Azores and the Canary Islands, and all the way to the eastern coast of Brazil.

7. The Baghdad Battery
The Baghdad Battery could almost be considered 3 artifacts in one. It is a terracotta pot that contains a copper cylinder and a single iron rod. The top of the rod is separated from the copper by a layer of bitumen, which acts as a plug or stopper. The rod and cylinder fit snugly into the opening of the jar, but the copper cylinder isn’t watertight, so any liquid in the jar would also make contact with the iron rod.

6. The Sanxingdui Jade
In the spring of 1929, a farmer in the quiet village of Sanxingdui in China’s Sichuan province was digging a well when he discovered a large stash of amazing jade artifacts. They were unlike anything anyone had ever seen before, and Chinese archaeologists scoured the area for years looking for more evidence of the lost people who had made these artifacts.

5. The Voynich Manuscript
The Voynich Manuscript is a hand-written and hand-illustrated book that was probably composed in northern Italy during the Renaissance. The vellum pages are full of drawings, sketches and writing in a language no one understands. The original has been carbon-dated to around 1404 to 1438. It’s named after Wilfrid Voynich, a book dealer who purchased the codex in 1912.

4. The Saqqara Bird
In 1898, archaeologists excavating the Pa-di-Imen tomb in Saqqara, Egypt, discovered the effigy of a bird made of sycamore wood. The bird had the head of a falcon and a wingspan of about 7 inches, but that’s where the similarities to a real bird ends.
For starters, the tail is vertical, like that of an an airplane or a shark! Its wings are represented as rigid like the wings of a glider.

3. Dropa Stones
In 1938, Chinese archaeologist Dr. Chi Pu Tei discovered evidence of a long-lost culture in the caves around Baian-Kara-Ula in China. Under a thick layer of dust, Dr. Chi found dozens of stone disks that were strikingly similar to vinyl records. They were about nine inches in diameter, had a central hole, and were inscribed with a long spiral groove. The disks were turned over to a researcher named Tsum Um Nui from the Beijing Academy for Ancient Studies.

2. The Antikythera Mechanism
In 1902, a strange artifact was pulled up out of an ancient shipwreck off the coast of the Greek island of Antikythera. The shipwreck dated to about 70 to 60 BC, and the artifact itself has been dated to about a generation before the wreck took place. It was first believed to be a gear wheel for steering the ship, but it soon became apparent that it was much, much more.

1. The London Hammer
In 1936, at Red Creek outside London, Texas, Max Hahn and his wife Emma found a strange piece of limestone that seemed to have wood sticking out of it. They brought the stone home with them, and used it a curious paperweight. Then, in 1946, their son for some reason broke open the stone, and what he found amazed him.
Contained within the limestone was a man-made hammer.
